Most small business owners don’t just have family members that rely on them but also employees and suppliers as well. In 2010 the Cameron Research Group conducted a survey of the Australian Small Business Market that provided some alarming statistics regarding life insurance.
Whilst 100% of Small Business Owners (SBOs) have heard of Life Insurance – only 65% of them have cover:
- 57% of SBOs have no TPD cover
- 88% of SBOs with loans have no loan protection in place
- 76% of SBOs have no Trauma Cover
- 57% of SBOs have no Income Protection Cover.
